What the tools do with your figures

The bill calculator, the metal-value calculator and the homepage estimate all run in your browser. The weights, rates and charges you type are used to draw the result on screen and are then forgotten when you close the page. They are not sent to us, not saved on your device, and not written into the address bar, so the page you share is never the figures you entered. The same is true of the full calculator.

The history explorer works the same way. Choosing a date range downloads one data file of published rates, exactly as it would download an image; nothing about your selection goes back to us.

Cookies and browser storage

This site sets no cookies. If you use the appearance toggle, local storage remembers your light or dark preference in this browser. This preference is not sent to us. Clearing site data removes it. Calculator inputs and history selections are never saved.

Fonts, scripts and other sites

The two typefaces are served from this site itself, not from a font network, so opening a page does not tell any third party that you did. The page scripts are our own and are served from the same place, and no file on any page is fetched from another company's server. No advertising, tag manager, social widget, chat tool, embedded video or tracking pixel is present on any page.

We do link out to other sites, such as the jewellers' association, the Bureau of Indian Standards and the GST portal, where we cite them as sources. Once you follow such a link you are on that organisation's site, under its own privacy terms, and we have no part in it.

Hosting

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, it handles the network request your browser makes, which includes your IP address and the page you asked for, and keeps operational logs of that traffic to serve pages and protect the service. We do not combine those logs with anything else.

Measurement

There is no analytics on this site today: no measurement script is loaded on any page, and we do not know who visits. We plan to add Cloudflare Web Analytics at launch, which is cookieless: it reports page views in aggregate, sets no cookie and does not follow visitors between sites. Nothing you type into a calculator would ever be sent to it. This page will say so plainly once it is running.

We will not collect what you hold, what you entered into a calculator or what you were quoted. There is no legitimate reason for this site to know those things.

If you write to us

Our contact page gives one email address, contact@goldratenagercoil.in. A message you send arrives as ordinary email. We keep it while we are dealing with it and for as long as it is useful as a record of a correction, we reply from the same address, and we do not add you to any list, share it, or use it for anything other than answering you. If you would rather we delete your message once it is dealt with, say so in it and we will.

Children, accounts and profiling

There are no accounts, no logins and no profiles on this site. We do not knowingly collect anything from anyone, of any age, because the pages are not built to collect. Nothing here makes an automated decision about a visitor.

Your rights

Since we hold nothing about visitors beyond the emails people choose to send, a request about your data will normally be about a message you sent us. Write to the contact address and we will tell you what we hold from you, correct it, or delete it.

This policy is checked against the built site: it says the site sets no cookies and loads no third-party resource because it does not, and it will be revised when the hosting and measurement described above are actually configured.
